On Tuesday, June 22^nd the Rome Floyd Chamber held a groundbreaking event for our newest 57 home community, Crestwood, being developed in Rome, GA, with anticipated starts in Fall 2021.

This will be the 6th Smith Douglas Homes community in the Rome area, and we’re thrilled to have our first opportunity to provide a newly developed community from start-to-finish. The municipality is thrilled as well, Crestwood will be the first new construction community developed in the city in over 20 years.

Attendees of the groundbreaking event included the Smith Douglas Homes Operations Team, Site Developer KC Homes/CDR Management, Rome Mayor, Craig McDaniel, City Commissioner for Ward Two, Wendy Davis and various other city commissioners and officials.

We’re proud to have completed several communities that first started years ago, bringing value not only to our new homeowners, but also adding value to those who had purchased before us. Scott Bowles, Atlanta Affiliate President for Smith Douglas Homes shared, “Since we sold our very first home at Magnolia Walk 3 years ago, the people of Rome have really embraced us – entrusting us to build new homes for nearly 250 households.”

Crestwood will serve the market with a mix of home designs with prices that range from $100k to $300k to ensure we are also serving a variety of needs in the area for new homeownership.
