Five years to the day, on August 31, we celebrate our Raleigh Affiliate’s, 1,000^th home closing! We have rolled out the red carpet (literally) for our fun and fabulous new homeowners, Evan and Siena, at their new home in the popular community, Legacy Farm. The celebration started with a warm welcome home by their New Home Specialist, Chris Armstrong and our V.P. of Sales & Marketing, Carey Bender. We were thrilled to surprise the couple with a personal gift, alongside a $250 donation to the local charity of their choice, Saving Grace Animal Rescue. 

To mark this milestone, we spoke with Affiliate President, Joel Geniesse about what this achievement means to him. Geniesse states, “It has been an absolute honor to be a part of this company and I am incredibly thankful for Tom Bradbury, our owner, who was willing to take the risk entering into the Raleigh market; to Greg Bennett, our CEO, for his continued trust and guidance; and to those who were with me from the beginning like Robert Bowman, our V.P. of Construction and Kim Fullerton, our office manager.” Geniesse, who started up the Raleigh Affiliate, has grown and led a team that has been laser focused on delivering quality homes and communities in the Raleigh Area. He reflects, “I’m thankful for all those who have joined us through the years. These people make us special, they bring creativity and collaboration to our culture, and I could not ask for a better team.”

Not forgetting all that contribute to this process and the success outside of our immediate team, Geniesse affirms, “A critical part to our success is our extended team of Trade Partners, Preferred Lenders, and last but certainly not least our Closing Attorney who has been with us from the start, Moore & Alphin. This group makes up the foundation of Smith Douglas Homes Raleigh and we’re proud to share in this achievement with you!”
