We recently achieved a monumental milestone worth celebrating – our 7,500th closing! Since our very first closing on March 30, 2009, we’ve consistently grown the Smith Douglas Homes family to what it is today, including our large and growing base of dedicated trade partners, nearly 300 employees, and of course, the 7,500 homeowners who’ve entrusted us to build their new home.

This accomplishment has been made possible due to our affiliate’s success as they have recently or will soon reach individual milestones that made our 7,500th possible:

• Raleigh – 800
• Birmingham – 500
• Charlotte – 500
• Nashville – 400

After postponing their wedding due to Covid, Mackenzie and Thomas (Boone) contracted to purchase a different home in the Raleigh area, but felt they were settling and backed out of that contract. They discovered Smith Douglas Homes on Zillow, visited our Monroe Fields community, built their dream home on Rendering House, and were torn between the Reges and the Vinings plan. When they learned that our Vinings model home had just been released to sell, they knew it was the perfect home for them. To commemorate this special occasion, Mackenzie and Boone received a housewarming gift, a donation to their favorite local charity and some treats for their dog.

We’re incredibly thankful for all the homebuyers we’ve served since 2009 and all those yet to come.
